W701 Japan Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Demonstration Project (JHFC)   NISSAN X-TRAIL FCV Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. released its latest model X-Trail FCV in 2005 equipped with Nissan’s first in-house fuel cell stack. These vehicles have undergone real-world testing in Japan and the United States, and have supported numerous promotional activities around the world. The accumulated mileage of all vehicles is over 760,000 km. Additionally, vehicles have been leased to Yokohama-city, Nikko-city and a limousine taxi service (industry first) in Japan. We are now making further improvements to our in-house fuel cell stack, which will be featured on a new FCV that Nissan plans to release in the early 2010s.
  Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Cell GM's fuel cell electric vehicle program is part of its strategy towards the electrification of vehicles. It allows for energy diversification, increased efficiencies and CO2 reduction, moving away from petroleum.
In 2006, GM presented the Equinox Fuel Cell vehicle powered by GM's 4th generation stack. GM has built over 100 Chevrolet-branded Equinox Fuel Cell vehicles and placed them with customers , as part of a comprehensive deployment plan dubbed “Project Driveway.” Designed to gain comprehensive leanings on all aspects of the customer experience, Project Driveway constitutes the first meaningful market test of fuel cell vehicles anywhere. A variety of drivers, in differing driving environments, operating these vehicles and refuel with hydrogen in U.S, Germany, China and Korea. The Equinox Fuel Cell is equipped with a long list of standard safety features including driver and passenger frontal airbags and roof rail side-impact airbags; anti-lock braking system (ABS), StabiliTrak stability enhancement technology and OnStar, while providing all of the environmental benefits of hydrogen fuel cell technology. The stack will operate in temperatures ranging from -25° C to +45° C.
