Overview LuK CVT Chain |
The function of the CVT chain is to transmit power from one pulley set to the other. The chain consists of several links which are movably connected by rocker joints. This relatively simple and well optimized design provides the special advantage in torque capacity and high efficiency. Schaeffler group can provide various size of chain because of its modular design. Thus LuK CVT chain technology can handle the complete torque range from small cars (from approx. 100Nm) up to upper middle class cars (well over 400Nm) without the need to compromise on installation space nor operational requirement.

Torsion Damper with Centrifugal Pendulum-Type Absorber for Torque |
Features: -Torsional vibration damper with centrifugal pendulum-type absorber for integration in a torque converter. -The centrifugal pendulum-type absorber works like an absorber, but the absorber frequency is automatically matched to the main engine vibration order. The centrifugal pendulum-type absorber is thus a speed-adaptive absorber. -The centrifugal pendulum-type absorber actively generates torque which counteracts the torque fluctuations of the engine. Advantages:An excellent level of vibration isolation is achieved. Benefits: - Zero slip can be achieved in the entire operating range due to the excellent isolation – even for engines and drive trains which are demanding from the point of view of NVH. -The operating range with zero slip can be extended to low speeds at high torques.
