Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and National Agency for Automotive Safety & Victim’s Aid (NASVA) display Japan New Car Assessment Program (JNCAP), Child Seat Assessment Program (CRSAP) and New Assessment of Driving Aptitude (NASVANET), etc.
Following are shown at the booth.
(1) Introduction of JNCAP and CRSAP.
(i) Showing 2008 JNCAP Grand Prix awarded vehicle (crashed vehicle) and highly evaluated CRS.
(ii) Explanation panels of JNCAP and CRSAP.
(2) Display of NASVANET (may possible to experience the system)
(3) Introduction panels of NASVA’s activities.
Training course for motor vehicle operation managers, NASVANET, Rehabilitation Center for Traumatic Apallics, etc.

We introduce 3 media vics system with 6 piecies VICS drivinge simulator and model.
VICS offers real time road traffic information through car navigation units to facilitate smooth driving that avoids congestion,thereby playing a key role in reducing CO2 emissions from vehicles.

As the Japanese society is getting aged in either urban or rural areas, the vehicles which are designed with easy accessibility especially for elderly or disabled people are required. Under the cooperation with users, bus/taxi operators, auto manufactures and academic experts, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is studying the future vision of the buses and taxis which are easily accessible as well as useful for people as many as practical.
This booth introduces the research for the vehicles used for the public transportation with the taxi model vehicle, as well as panels and images of Non-Step buses and Universal Design taxis easily accessible and useful for everyone. Moreover, we conduct the survey for the opinions against these vehicles for further study. We are looking forward to seeing you.

In order to reduce traffic accident fatalities and injuries, from 1991 year MLIT in Japan has been promoted the Advance Safety Vehicle (ASV), equipped with driving assistance systems for safety using advanced technologies.
In this booth, the FTO of inter-vehicle communication based Driving Support system in ITS-SAFETY 2010 project is explained by panels, the ASV technologies are explained by movie, and the ASV technologies can be experienced by a Driving Simulator.
