C206 TS Tech Co., Ltd. wp OCCUPANT PROTECTION SEAT FOR HEAD-ON CRASH Among fatal accidents while riding on cars, about sixty percent of people are killed in frontal collisions(1*).

“Occupant protection seat for head-on crash” is a stand-alone restraint system to enhance occupant restraint performance in a frontal collision. Once sensors detect a collision, occupant restraint system launches extremely fast: it strongly retracts the lap belt and at the same time, it raises the front of the seat cushion with tugging it rearward. This work is supported by two actuators under the seat cushion that are driven by combustion of powder. The system reduces forward movement of occupant’s lumber approximately in half in our ratio(2*) and also reduces the maximum gravity that acts on the occupant.

(2*) Result in a 35mph full-width frontal impact test of a major passenger car
  ACTIVE HEADREST TS Tech’s front seat with active headrest is mounted to Honda Insight which debuted in this spring. Compared to the former type, we have improved its performance of reducing impact to the occupant’s neck in a rear collision by modifying an operational unit.

In Europe, Insight earned top rating “FAIR” with 3.1points in Euro NCAP assessment for rear impact crash safety (as of August 2009).
Also in the United States, it earned top rating “GOOD” in IIHS assessment.

Furthermore, we have reduced the seat weight for better fuel efficiency aiming at creating an environmental friendly seat.
  SEAT TECHNOLOGY OF HONDA INSIGHT Honda Insight rear seat is efficiently laid out on a beam structure that is across the car body in spite of the limited space condition of a hybrid vehicle due to battery loading, etc..
While according with new regulations of each county, it achieves lighter weight by approximate 1.8kg in our ratio.
  RESPIRARE Respirare is a laminate mold made from polyester elastomer fibers.
While satisfying conventional urethane foam’s performance,
it can be lighter than urethane material by approximate 30%.
Also, it has good material recyclability that helps to reduce environmental burden significantly.
Besides, it breathes well and prevents a driver from having sweaty back and buttocks after long time driving.
  NEW DECORATIVE MOTORCYCLE SEAT OF TOP COAT WITH INTEGRATED FOAM MOLDING TS Tech has applied the techniques of multicolor topcoat molding and integrated molding with topcoat and foam to create a new decorative seat for motorcycle.
The multicolor topcoat molding prevents the seat cushion from damage caused by water penetration which is a weak point of sewn trim cover, with keeping its luxurious appearance of stitches.
Also, it enables us to create a design with multicolor-pattern and realizes high quality both in design and durability.
Furthermore, it offers a wider flexibility in appearance design by combining with our exclusive technique of integrated molding with topcoat and foam.
  MOTORCYCLE SEAT OF WATERPROOF GENUINE LEATHER For riders who want a quality seat, TS Tech has developed a high-class motorcycle seat of waterproof genuine leather. Even being exposed to rain or wind, it avoids rainwater penetration to the seat cushion and prevents grease from running out with moisture.
